  • Step 9:   Appear in the Interview as per the date given against your name

Admission Quota

  1. Two percent quota shall be kept for disabled candidates. Applicants with disabilities can request requisite facilities during the admissions process. All such requests must be supported by documentary evidence.
  2. Two percent quota shall be kept for sports-based admissions in all UG programs except BU HS Campus.
  3. Two percent quota shall be kept in admissions for applicants/ students from less developed regions of Pakistan.
  4. Five percent quota for Children of Overseas Pakistanis.
  5. Five percent quota shall be reserved for the sons/daughters of Advocates in LLB, who shall compete for admission in order of merit.
  6. One percent quota for Balochistan.
  7. Applicants on reserved seats at Para 1, 2, 3 & 4 above should fulfill general conditions for admissions and must meet minimum admission criteria, prescribed for each degree program.
  8. Candidates applying on quota seats must submit their applications along with desired documents before the admission deadline at the Admission office of their respective Campus.
  9. Applicants belonging to lesser developed regions of Pakistan shall be required to produce a duly attested domicile from chairman Town Committee/Gazetted Officers.

ADMISSION PROCESS FOR STUDENTS FROM LESS DEVELOPED REGIONS / DISABLED CANDIDATES / WARDS OF ADVOCATES

  1. Applicants shall apply online, on or before the notified closing date.
  2. Applicants shall forward their applications to Admissions Offices of respective Campuses to avail quota seats. Requests indicating application number, Programs, Campus along with supporting documents shall reach respective Campus (after online registration) by quickest means (e-mail/ TCS etc), one week before Admissions Deadline (Closing) dates.
  3. Applicants shall appear in the CBT on the date notified by BU, or produce results of the tests conducted by the specified testing service if so provisioned.
  4. No fee waiver is authorized on quota seats.

ADMISSION PROCESS FOR CHILDREN OF OVERSEAS PAKISTANIS

  1. Applicants shall apply online before the notified closing date as promulgated as per eligibility criteria.
  2. Applicants are to follow all the laid-down procedures for admission as per admission policy available on BU website.
  3. Applicants are to attach the following documents along with the application form available on BU website:
    1. Paid Challan Form
    2. Copy of CNIC/ NICOP
    3. Copy of Passport of Parent/ Guardian with valid visa & exit stamp
    4. Proof of residence/ employment abroad of Parent or Guardian as applicable
  4. Applicants shall appear in the Computer Based Admission Test (CBT) on the date notified by BU in relevant CU in Pakistan, or produce/enter results of the ETS tests conducted by the specified testing services if so provisioned (SAT, GAT & GRE etc).
  5. Admission will be purely on merit.
  6. Admission Committee of BU Campuses/CUs shall verify the above-mentioned documents of the applicant to look for any discrepancies/shortcomings.

ADMISSION PROCESS FOR SPORTS QUOTA SEAT

  1. Candidates of UG Programs after completion of the online registration process shall apply and submit the sports quota form along with the following documents in their respective campuses:
  2. Copy of ID Card/Form B.
  3. Copy of Paid Admission Processing fee slip.
  4. Sports participation Certificate(s) from relevant authority.
  5. Eligibility: Only those candidates will be eligible for admission on 2% sports quota seat who will qualify the BU CBT/ ETS and will meet the minimum eligibility criteria of the program.

CBT / Admission Test Subjects (Undergraduate)

  1. BU Entrance Test of Undergraduate Programs for Management Sciences & Earth & Environmental Sciences shall be based on 100 MCQs in a CBT, with no negative marking. Each question shall have four options, and the test carries 100 marks with 120 minutes allowed.
  2. Departments of Management Studies: The test consists of the following 4 sections:
    1. Verbal ability
    2. Quantitative Reasoning
    3. Analytical Reasoning
    4. General Knowledge
  3. Departments of Computer Science and Engineering: The test consists of the following 4 sections:
    1. Verbal ability
    2. Quantitative Reasoning
    3. Analytical Reasoning
    4. Physics and Maths
  4. Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences: The test consists of the following 5 sections:
    1. Verbal ability
    2. Quantitative Reasoning
    3. Analytical Reasoning
    4. Biology or Maths
    5. Chemistry and Physics
  5. For BS (Psychology), BS (English) and BS (Islamic Studies): The test consists of the following 3 sections:
    1. English
    2. General Knowledge
    3. Verbal Reasoning
  6. For semester-based Medical Sciences (DPT & MLT): The test consists of the following 4 sections:
    1. Verbal Ability
    2. Physics
    3. Chemistry
    4. Biology

CBT / Admission Test Subjects (Postgraduate Programs)

The test shall comprise of three/four sections:

  1. Applicants who have qualified GRE, GAT (through NTS), or SAT for respective programs are exempted from the BU Entry Test (CBT).
  2. Applicants must register online and pay the registration fee.
  3. Qualification of GRE, GAT, and SAT must be mentioned during registration, and a copy of the Result Card should be uploaded on the ETS Scores Page.
  4. Applicants may opt to appear or reappear in the BU Entry Test for improvement of previous results. The best results will be used to prepare the merit list.

Test Exemption

  1. Following categories of applicants are exempted from appearing in the BU Entry Test (CBT):
    • Qualified GRE or GAT through NTS (General) for MS/M.Phil & PhD Programs.
    • Qualified SAT for Non-Engineering and Engineering Bachelor Programs.
    • Qualified BU Entry Test (CBT) during the last one year.
  2. All applicants must register online and pay the registration fee.
  3. Mention GRE, GAT through NTS, or SAT during online registration. Upload a copy of the Result Card on the ETS Scores Page (Step-2; Personal Profile).
  4. Applicants mentioned above may choose to appear/reappear in the BU Entry Test (CBT) to improve previous results. The best result will be considered for the merit list.
