President Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi inaugurated and chaired the opening session. The conference is first academic initiative in the country which seeks to highlight and assess the Pakistani media\u2019s role in covering conflict and violence in the country. Over the course of two days, national and internationally acclaimed scholars, academicians and senior journalists will analyses media discourses and their impact on conflicts, including terrorism and violent extremism.
