All registered users of Bahria University are entitled to borrow books. Lending privileges differ for various categories. Please inquire at the Circulation desk.

Trained and highly qualified staff are available to give reference services from all online research databases. User may make queries by telephone,or by following e-mail :

In case an item is not located on the shelf, inquiry can be made at the Circulation Desk. A search will then be initiated and the user will be notified when the item is located. The located item will be held at the Circulation Desk for two days for the user to pick up.

The library has subscribed a wide range of English and Urdu leading national newspapers. The library also maintains two month previous record of the newspapers for reference and research purpose.

The library welcomes alumni, former employees, community members, individuals, and researchers
with a valid CNIC and proof of residence to enjoy borrowing privileges for e-books and e-journals.
Members can also access research assistance, as well as computers and Wi-Fi programming support.To obtain library membership, individuals must fill out a membership form available at the circulation counter and return the completed form for processing. Additionally, the library provides access to e-databases, for further support academic and research needs.

Bahria University Library welcomes suggestions from faculty and students, for the acquisition of materials that support teaching, study, and research at the Institute. Know of a book the Bahria University Library should own? Fill out our “recommendation for acquisition” form and we will generally purchase the book. We put a rush order on it, and notify you when it has arrived so you can be the first to use it!
Note: Before you make a request for purchase, please check our catalog, to be sure that the item is not already available in the Bahria University Library collection.

BU provides Interlibrary Loan (ILL) services to support the research and academic needs of its
users. Through this service, library members can request books, journal articles, or other
materials that are not available in the BU Library collection. The library works in collaboration
with other institutions to borrow these resources. Requests can be made at the circulation
desk or through the email. This service is available to students, faculty, and staff, ensuring
broader access to academic materials beyond the BU Library's holdings.

The library staff gives a wide range of presentations to library users, to enable users to use the library to its maxim potential. These presentations educate users on the use of different online databases for literature searching. Presentations for small groups can be arranged on request.

Photocopy facility is available for readers to make copies from Reference books, because these books are not being issued.
