Taashfeen Javaid, started his career with PTCL as a management trainee. Then he joined Mobilink in 2005 and remained the part of their team for almost 4.5 years. Later in 2009 he switched to the development sector. Currently he is working as Head of HR Unit in one of the United Nations Project, based in Islamabad. He did his MBA with bi-majors i.e Finance and HRM from Bahria University Islamabad Campus in 2001-2004 batch. Previously he worked as Recruitment Specialist with Coffey International Development, where his responsibilities include for end to end recruitment for various positions under Rule of Law project. He is also fully aware of and has direct experience of working in various contexts of HR, which has built his understanding of the organizational environment and the issues faced by humanitarian projects and ways to resolve them. Working in post emergency (conflict) context in Swat Pakistan after IDP situation created by tensions/ military operations has substantially built his knowledge and understanding of the humanitarian environment and working under stress in these scenario. Working with governments at local level, with emergency response authorities in Pakistan has strengthened his tact, diplomacy and negotiation skills that are highly required for working in HR and dealing the people in rural areas. Taashfeen has tackled the government officials for any stress during the hiring phase and have also followed the policies and procedures of the organization. In addition, he has contributed to capacity building of partner organization and has remained the member of assessment team for identification of new partner for Oxfam GB.
