Mission
To provide candidates with academic opportunities for the development of specialized skills in
professional practice and psychological research.

Program Objectives
1. To develop professional consultative skills through immersion in intensive coursework,
internship and field placement.
2. To develop specialized skills related to psychological research.

Program Outcomes
1. To be able to work independently in specialized domains providing professional services for
individual growth and societal welfare.
2. To be able to contribute in the field of applied research and its application in relevant domains

 

The Clinical Psychologists go through vigorous training in administering psychological tests, interpreting the results and diagnosing patients. This training includes writing reports and learning how to evaluate reports and referrals. They are further trained for conducting therapeutic sessions using the various theories of Psychotherapy (like Psychoanalytic, Cognitive Behavioral, Humanistic etc) focusing on techniques and styles specially designed for the treatment of specific disorders. The students practice through role playing, behavioral rehearsals, modeling and content analysis of their sessions. They are provided with expert supervision by practicing psychologists and Professors with years of clinical and supervisory experience.
